It is with extreme grief and sorrow that we share the news of the demise of Mrs. Sarah Zaidi, Principal, Wali ul Asr High School.

Mrs. Sarah Zaidi was an exceptional individual who left an unparalleled legacy at the young age of 28. She joined Wali ul Asr as a teacher and played the roles of Coordinator, Curriculum Lead, Vice Principal and the Principal. She strongly believed that it was possible to establish a Shia High School and worked tirelessly for making the idea of the first Shia High School in GTA, a reality. (Mrs. Sarah Zaidi express her passion for a Shia High School). Three years ago, she announced the realization of her dream to the community, Mrs. Sarah at the opening ceremony.

Mrs. Sarah had a tremendous amount of love for Imam Husyan (AS). The only time she took time off from school was to visit the shrines of Ahl-e-Bait (AS) and she walked 100 KMs under the Wali ul Asr flag from Najaf to Karbala, three years in a row. She had a passion to bring out the best in every student and was an inspiration and a role model to hundreds of children and her peers at Wali ul Asr and in the larger community. Before joining Wali ul Asr, she participated and led various Islamic activities at the University and was held in very high regard by everyone who knew her.

We would strongly request all students, parents and the larger community to please make every effort to participate in the funeral of this exceptional helper of our Imam (ATFS), which will be held at Zohar at Al Mahdi Islamic Center, 510 Concession 3 Road, Pickering, ON. L1X 2R4 on Monday, March 30, 2015. All three campuses of Wali ul Asr will be closed on Monday.

We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of Mrs. Sarah Zaidi. We are all indebted to her and pray that Allah (SWT) will give her the Thawab of every good decision made by Wali ul Asr students throughout their lives Insha Allah.

Mrs. Sarah Zaidi spent her life in the service of her Imam (ATFS). We have all suffered a huge loss today and have lost cognizance of her life. We pray that she will continue to live on and serve her Imam (ATFS) at even higher levels Insha Allah.
